Shifting to Structured Literacy is about more than new programmes or practices — it requires leaders who can guide PLD, align assessment, and sustain change. This 3-week online course is designed with busy leaders in mind, giving you the essential knowledge and tools to lead the shift well.
What you’ll cover
Week 1: Leading PLD and Change – practical strategies for supporting teachers, managing the pace of change, and embedding learning.
Week 2: Core Knowledge of Structured Literacy – what leaders need to know about the "what", “why” and “how” of Structured Literacy.
Week 3: Assessment and Curriculum – choosing and using assessments that matter, aligning with Te Mātaiaho, and planning for impact.
